I dine at the Palm Avenue Deli at least once a week and my personal favorites are the Blueberry Pancakes for breakfast and the Incredible corned beef or pastrami Rueben! The turkey option is also a winner. BTW - there bagels are made fresh and are authentic NY style!

Palm Avenue Deli is one of those places you almost want to keep to yourself… but it’s too good not to share. We had a wonderful lunch there with friends, and Christina and Anna took great care of our table. The Reuben sandwich absolutely stole the show. Perfectly balanced, piled high, and grilled just right — one of those bites that makes you pause mid-conversation and just enjoy it. The Waldorf salad was also a standout — fresh, flavorful, and topped with tender hand-pulled chicken that made it feel like a complete, satisfying meal. The standout? Their “pickles for a nickel” — crisp, tangy, and full of that old-school deli charm. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, and the kind of place that turns a simple lunch into something memorable. We’ll definitely be back.

Great Deli in the heart of Sarasota. The cup size of the matzo ball soup…though tiny… was actually just the perfect taste. The Rachel Rubin was fantastic. The rye bread toasted just right; the turkey was good but the sauerkraut and pickle added the perfect tang stealing the tastevud showdown. The side of russian dressing was great for a dipping companion. My table also got the latkes and the chicken and waffles. No one complained…only complimented. Washed it all down with a Dr Brown Blk Cherry!

Great service, great atmosphere, and amazing flavors. We had the stake and eggs, eggs Benedict, and the Ruben. To add to the experience is the beautiful downtown area location of the restaurant. A must if you like good food. You’ll thank me later.
